Why I Wrote This Book
About Angela
Angela Ricketts is a wife, mother, entrepreneur, and the founder of Sight Stones. As the co-founder of Better Life Home Cleaning, she has spent years building a business rooted in care, compassion, and the belief that every person deserves to feel seen and valued.
After her young son was diagnosed with the same rare inherited retinal disease that had taken her grandfather’s sight, Angela found herself walking through one of the most difficult seasons of her life. Following the loss of her father—a lifelong potter—she returned to clay, reconnecting with a craft they had shared together. What began as a way to process grief and find healing soon became the inspiration for Sight Stones.
Today, Angela is an advocate for families affected by inherited retinal diseases and speaks to audiences across the country about resilience, hope, and discovering purpose through life’s unexpected challenges. Through her writing, speaking, and the Sight Stones movement, her mission is to help people never lose sight of what matters most while building community and supporting research to cure blindness.
